Adobe Premiere Video Sequence Edit

First of all, you need to have the sequence of images with you to turn it into a video with Adobe Premiere.

“Image sequence” here actually refers to several still pictures you have clicked with your camera/DSLR or exported from animation software and kept in a folder in a chronological order. All the pictures should be in the same folder, having the same name, with just the number changing. The image can be of any type, but here we will work with JPEG.

To begin with, this is what you will see as the main interface of the video editing software. Now you have to start by importing your images to Adobe Premiere, then you can convert them to animation or video.

Here are two options for you to do the same thing. Though we are guiding you here, we’ll also make sure you don’t do it in the wrong way and waste your time and energy.

Go to the file, then import and navigate to the folder where you have kept all your images in sequence, select all and click import.

Adobe Premiere pro will import all your images as individual files. You’ll have to manually add them to the timeline, which is a long process.

So, let’s go through a different and more convenient process.

Step-1

When you are on the main interface of Adobe Premiere Pro, there’s an option at the top left of the screen as “file,” select that and then go to import.

Step-2

Now navigate the folder in which you have kept your images in sequence, select the folder, and you’ll see all the images in order in that folder.

Step-3

Select the first image in the folder. The image you choose will get highlighted. Then you have to choose “options” at the bottom left of the dialogue box, then check the “image sequence”.

(This was done on Adobe Premiere on Mac, but if you are on Windows, the placing of the options might be different, you might find it at the bottom of the dialogue box)

Step-4

The other images will not get highlighted, although this option commands the software to use all the images in the folder in a sequential order to merge and convert into a video.

Click “Import,” and Adobe Premiere will create a video in the default set FPS (Frames per Second), which you can change if you want.

Here you’ve got the raw .mp4 or .mov file. Now you have got many options to tweak with and customize the clip according to your requirements.

Step-5

Now drag the new video file to the timeline. You’ll see a blue line at the start of the video strip. Drag that line to move forward or backward in the video. You can always use the play button to watch the clip.

The blue line helps you edit the video where you want in the timeline, you can add some effects if you want or insert audio.

Step-6

If you want to change any color in the clip or add any media, you can easily do that. You have to drag the blue line to the point where you want to edit, and you can select the option to add media of several types, like motion graphics for example.

Step-7

Coming to the final stage, when your clip is ready to be exported.

You can edit the video format, check both export audio and video, select the export file directory, check resolution, adjust the bitrate, and export the project.
